I agree with Ms. Susan up there. We have very limited screen time in our house. When electronics are on, It makes everyone have to speak louder to be heard, it creates a constant distraction from what wants or needs to be done, and generally it adds tension to a room. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit…I hope you will come back again soon. 🙂 Electronics and screen time also serve to disconnect people from each other…one of the most disturbing sights for me is a mom, pushing a shopping cart in a grocery store, child in the cart, iPad taped to the cart so the child can watch a movie or play a game, mom on her cell phone, talking to a friend about nothing important…where is the interaction…where is the face-to-face communication…so sad. 😦

Haha, I’m not sure I can say my house is peaceful, especially when my 2 boys go on an adventure together. There’s always a lot of noise effects coming with it!
It’s peaceful when they sit down and build legos, or read books though. Crafts and drawing are a great time for peaceful time. A lively home is fun for sure!

peacefulness at home is what we really need right now. I really do need to revisit your book again once I find time and make the chaos calm down in our house. You know what you have? Magic with kids! I wish I can be as collected as you are. But I’ll keep trying until I find that sweet spot of having the control on our schedule and daily activities 🙂

  Don’t forget, Marilou…I have many more years of living than you…and I was a kindergarten and Head Start teacher before my first child was born…so I had already had lots of experience with little ones. 🙂
  We all have different temperaments and every child is a unique individual…so no two family situations are the same.
  But, if you are feeling your home situation is chaotic…then just sit down and observe…and then make changes if you can in the areas that might help. 🙂 The most important thing is to love your little one…and I know that you do that. 🙂
