Gabi Snyder’s charming text and Robin Rosenthal’s delightful illustrations are a surefire combination in this winning picture book.
Starred Reviews:
This fur-raising one-to-10-and-back-again counting book perfectly captures the rollicking, manic joy of dogs off the leash. – Kirkus

A recommended purchase. The rhyming phrases make this title an ideal read-aloud, and the simple counting up and down from 1 to 10 builds early math skills. – School Library Journal

Why I love this book:

  • Cars/trains/planes…kids love them! Dogs and a persnickity cat…kids love them also! The rhyme is so much fun and flows off the tongue easily!
  • Wonderful count up and count down…little ones are learning math and they don’t even know it!
  • Hilarious illustrations…you will LOVE the modernistic dogs – color palette is bold and kid-friendly!

  1. Congratulations, Gabi. Each review I read gets me more excited to read this! Vivian, LOVE the many canine craft ideas! My most unusual ride would probably be an inter-island trip on a freighter when we missed our ferry connection.
