November 19-24: NCTE Convention in Denver Colorado
What a special opportunity to return to Colorado where I lived for 18 years. The National Council of Teachers o English Conference is one of the largest teacher’s conventions in the nation. My panel, consisting of Jolene Gutierrez, Nyasha Williams, Nadia Salomon, moderated by Children’s Book Review founder Bianca Schulze is entitled: IGNITING BOLD DREAMS: Using Picture Books to Help Readers Connect to History and Find their Voices. We’ll be sharing fabulous activities that teachers can implement with their students as soon as they get back to their classrooms.
