TA-DA! What an honor to reveal the cover of a lovely book that is close to my heart. My late husband LOVED fishing…and he took our children…and grandchildren, just like the characters in Candace Spizzirri’s new book: FISHING WITH GRANDPA AND SKYE.
A short synopsis from Amazon
Days on the lake are a Skye and Grandpa thing. They load up their tackle box, hop aboard their skiff, and chug out to their favorite fishing spot. Today, the sun is shining, the fish are jumping, but will Skye hook a big one? FISHING WITH GRANDPA AND SKYE explores the rewards of patience and celebrates the love between generations.
And here is a little bit about the talented author:
Candace Spizzirri grew up in a small town in New Jersey with tree-lined streets and old Victorian houses. As a child, she spent hours playing at the park, catching minnows in a nearby stream, and exploring the woods at the end of her street. She now makes her home in Southern California where she loves spending time with her family.
FISHING WITH GRANDPA AND SKYE is her debut picture book.

And here is a little bit about the talented illustrator:
Beverly Love Warren is the illustrator of My Child My Princess and Have You Seen Mouse, which she also authored. Having graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology in New York where she studied illustration, she now makes her home in Washington state where she lives with her husband. When she is not with brush and paint in hand, you can find her writing stories, hiking, at church, or enjoying time spent with her three children and six grandchildren.

Dear friends…I’m honored to have had the chance to read this lovely story – and the cover is just a small indication of the beautiful illustrations you’ll find inside the book – the book is now available for pre-order on Amazon, Bookshop.org, and Barnes & Noble.
And remember to stop by for Perfect Picture Book Friday when we turn the spotlight on MY SISTER DAISY for Multicultural Children’s Book Day.
