    • This was just a post that included the link to the YouTube video of a google+ hangout I did with another educator and author.  She read a Halloween story and I did a Halloween craft and talked about how picture books can help kids express their feelings.  Sorry if it didn’t open correctly for you. 🙂  I plan to do a series of YouTube videos for parents and kids. 🙂  My google+ address is +Vivian Kirkfield.

  1. I watched you and your friend on youtube, Vivian, and I loved the surprise conclusion to the “cotton bale” story. Your activity with the paper plate–smiling on one side, frowning on the other–is a wonderful way for children to express their feelings through the smiles or frowns on their creation. Excellent activity!

    • Thanks so much, Marylin!  The story was supposed to be 5 minutes…but turned out to be 10. 😦  I plan to do a series on Google+ Hangouts that create YouTube videos…I want to make a series for parents and kids using picture books and crafts/cooking activities.
