LOLA CAN’T LEAP

Written by Ellen Leventhal

Illustrated by Noelle Shawa

Published by Clear Fork Press

One of my favorite times is when I can shout out about a new picture book that I saw as a rough draft. The author of this book, Ellen Leventhal, is one of my long-time critique buddies. She already was a published author when I met her and I was in awe. DON’T EAT THE BLUEBONNETS, originally launched in 2009, had an update and rerelease last year.

Just look at this cover! Don’t you love the portraits on the wall? They really help me connect with this character…I know that family is very important to her. And Lola’s adorable expression…I want to give her a hug!

We’ll be featuring this book for Perfect Picture Book Friday on the 14th, but I just had to wish LOLA CAN’T LEAP a very happy book birthday today!!! Available on Amazon and other book sites,
