Perfect Picture Book Friday: DINO’S PAJAMA PARTY

Happy Friday, dear friends. Today’s featured book is sure to please the kiddos…as well as moms and dads who are trying to get their little ones to bed…and teachers who are looking for a fun rhyming read-aloud. The author, Laurie Wallmark, is a dear friend of mine and is better known for her narrative nonfiction biographies about strong women…but oh my goodness…she is multitalented for sure! You are going to love this one!

DINO’S PAJAMA PARTY

Written by Laurie Wallmark

Illustrated by Michael Robertson

Published by Running Press Kids (2021)

Ages: 3-8

Themes: Dinosaurs, bedtime, rhyme

Synopsis: From Amazon:
Much like us, dinosaurs love to have fun. Dinosaurs from all around gather together to play instruments, dance, and sing before bedtime. But soon the dinosaurs grow tired and need their rest. This is a book that’s sure to have kids following the dinos’ lead as they get ready to go to sleep.

WHY I LOVE THIS BOOK:

  1. This is a great read-aloud for home or school.
  2. The text is filled with action verbs and a rollicking rhythm.
  3. The illustrations are delightful – bold and full of fun!
