Woot! Woot! It’s Happy Book Birthday time again…and boy, do I love celebrating when a friend’s book launches! I met this amazing author/illustrator during my first #50PreciousWords contest…she reached out and asked if I’d like a logo for it. A logo? You betcha! The talented Vicky Fang created the awesome logo for that…and also for #50PreciousWordsforKids. I’ll be forever grateful to her! And so, when I found out that she had a series of board books coming out to introduce coding to the very young, I knew I would want to tell the world about it.

Many of you may know that my first dream was to be a teacher. What a happy moment that was when I walked into my first kindergarten class at P.S. 29 in Brooklyn, New York. Of course, we can have more than one dream – and I’m now living another one – the dream of writing for children. Another thing I love to do is turn the spotlight on new picture books that are launching – so, you can imagine how thrilled I am to sing Happy Book Birthday to a picture book about teachers!
